New hands-on STEM course coming to Santa Fe College

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB)-- A new course is coming to Santa Fe College, and faculty are preparing for it.

Faculty and staff members have spent over a month training on guitar, rocket, and robot building. The course will be a hands-on class that uses guitar building, rocket launching, and robot design to encourage students to consider careers in stem.

The course will be offered in the fall at Santa Fe's Starke, Archer, and Keystone Heights campuses. It is being funded by a half-million dollar grant from the National Science Foundation.
