According to a police report from May 28th, originally obtained by First Coast News, a heated argument between a group of Florida football players and another group of men happened outside the Keys Residential Complex on UF's campus.
Numerous players including Rick Wells, Kemore Gamble, Emory Jones, Tyrie Cleveland, Kadarius Toney, and Kyree Campbell left the scene and came back with airsoft rifles, rocks, and a frying pan.
Eventually, the police were called and when they arrived they were able to identify the players based on a video someone had taken of the incident. No charges have been filed.
Head football coach Dan Mullen also commented on the incident, "We were made aware of the incident when it occurred and immediately began following campus protocol. This has been an opportunity for us to educate our players about the dangers and negative perceptions that can occur when conflict arises, and how important honesty and good decision making is."
At this time no players involved have been suspended and no comment has been made if that will remain the case.
