OBS' "October Yearling Sale" finishes strong with $750,000 in sales

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) -
A consignor from Levy County had a busy day at the second and final day of the Ocala Breeders Sales' "October Yearling Sale."

Summerfield Sales, based near Morrison, sold 58 thoroughbreds for $750,000 on Wednesday, October 10th.

The top-selling yearling was a filly sired by "Mosler" out of "Dominus Effect" for $75,000.

All told, the second day was down from 2018 in the number of horses sold but the median price rose by $1,000.
