After two years on the market, the old Williston High School building has been sold.
BluRock Development purchased the building for 1.25 million dollars and plans to turn the property into retail space.
Williston city officials say that this sale is part of the city's economic development plan and an effort to grow and improve the city.
"I think it's indicative of the fact that Williston is beginning to grow. We want to grow in a way that we are able to keep our small town feel, but at the same time we want a strong economy in the city with the services and the goods that people want," said Williston City Manager Scott Lipmann.
No official timeline or prospective retailers have been confirmed for the space at this time.
