GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB)-- There is one day left for the Alachua County Youth Fair and Livestock Show.
The free event at the Alachua County Fairgrounds gives young people a chance to interact with livestock and showcase their own animals.
New this year, the fair also offered a dog agility class and showcase.
"They're teaching the kids step-by-step 'Here's how we train our dogs'. And what's neat is that you know when I come over and they ask all the kids 'How many people have dogs at home,' almost all the kids raise their hands. You know it's a really cool way that maybe they can take some of these skills and learn them and take them back home and work on them with their dog," said Amanda Morgan, Alachua 4-H Extension Agent.
Tomorrow, the fair is centered around a market animal sale.
Gates open at 7am with the auction beginning at 1pm.
