UPDATE: One killed, firefighter injured after house fire in Marion County

CITRA, Fla. (WCJB) - A house fire in Marion County has left one person dead and a firefighter injured while fighting the blaze.

Marion County Fire Rescue crews responded to a home on North Magnolia Avenue in Citra around 11:00 a.m. on Monday, finding the home completely engulfed in flames.

Crews immediately began trying to put out the fire.

The deceased was recently identified as Richard William Hale.

A District Captain came in contact with a live power line.

He was taken to the hospital, but is now out and said to be doing well.

After battling back the fire, crew members entered the home where they found one person dead.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
