Overturned fuel tanker backs up traffic in Marion County

MARION CO., Fla. (WCJB)-- An overturned fuel tanker has traffic backed up in Marion County Thursday evening.

Just past noon, a Florida National Guard fuel tanker overturned on the shoulder of I-75 Northbound near mile marker 356, just south of County Road 326.

A preliminary FHP investigation shows several cars might have cut the tanker off, causing it to overturn. There was no fuel loss.

And both the driver and passenger of the tanker have been taken to a hospital with minor injuries. At this time, the far right lane remains closed.
