Gainesville Fire Rescue says that the landing gear of a plane landing at GNV Airpot collapsed, causing the plane to skip to a stop.

At 5:11 pm, a 4 passenger plane was slowing down after landing, when its front landing gear failed, forcing the plane onto its nose and closing the runway.

2 people were on board the craft but were not injured. GFR says that little bit of hydraulic fluid leaked, but was easily cleaned up.

Crews were able to clear the runway and reopen in under 45 minutes, allowing a commercial airliner to take off shortly after.
