Rapper 21 Savage performs at UF

GAINESVILLE, Fla., ( WCJB) ---- Despite much controversy and uncertainty-- Rapper 21 Savage did, in fact, perform in North Central Florida tonight.

The sold-out concert in the O'Connell Center was first scheduled for February but had to be rescheduled after 21 Savage was detained by ICE

The rapper was born in London but raised in Atlanta. His nationality caught many by surprise, including his fans.

Independent artist Young Garzi was the opening act. Garzi attended UF for two years before going into music. Despite the delay, UF student government productions and the Black Student Union co-sponsored the event to honor Black History Month.
