Regional General Hospital in Williston's management pays off massive federal debt

WILLISTON, Fla. (WCJB) -- Court records from the Levy County Clerk of Court show management at the troubled Regional General Hospital in Williston has paid off a massive federal tax lien.

The hospital owed more than $500,000 in taxes to the federal government, going back to 2017.

The Levy County Clerk of Court received notice yesterday that the payment of $560,000 had been sent to the Treasury Department in Baltimore at the beginning of April.

State records from the Agency of Health Care Administration show the hospital's license expired on March 26th, but its renewal application is still under review by state regulators.
