Regional General Hospital takes small step in paying back taxes

WILLISTON, Fla. (WCJB) - It's a small but important step for Regional General Hospital in Williston.

Court records show hospital administrators have now paid off back taxes of 11-hundred dollars to the state.

But regional general owes a lot more in other taxes. The tax collector tells TV20 the hospital still owes Levy County nearly 400-thousand dollars in unpaid real estate and tangible taxes.

Court records should the federal government is owed another 560-thousand dollars in taxes.

Regional General is scheduled to make a final installment tomorrow to pay off overdue utility bills.
