Fla. (WCJB) -
Health care services for veterans in North Central Florida are getting a boost.

The Department of Veterans Affairs says Gainesville will be getting a 70,000 square-foot primary care facility designed to take a load off of the Malcolm Randall Medical Center.

It will be located next to a new mental health facility that will consolidate three existing operations.

In Ocala, an outpatient clinic and the Ocala West Specialty Clinic will be united in a single 45,000 square-foot facility.

All are scheduled to open in 2022.
