"I was excited" Rep. Yoho says in response to Mueller report

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WCJB) -- North Central Florida Congressman Ted Yoho is among House republicans who want to put the investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller to rest.

“I was excited to see it come out, where it exonerated President Trump on any collusion with the Russians. I think this is something the nation wants. They want to bring this to an end. This is the beginning of that,” Yoho said.

Mueller concluded there was no evidence of collusion, however, democrats continue to raise questions regarding the investigation into the Trump campaign and alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

TV 20’s Alana Austin asked the congressman whether republicans on Capitol Hill plan to dig into the foundation of the report and raise their own questions. According to Yoho, the investigation was thorough enough to be sound in its conclusions.

Yoho said “We should all stand as americans against anybody interfering with our election process.”

He continued expressing how time could have been better spent if not dedicated to this investigation, but not without suggesting an investigation into former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
