Road work in Marion and Columbia counties will force the closure of several lanes of I-75 and I-10 over the coming weeks.

Starting Sunday night, the State Road 200 northbound ramp to I-75 in Ocala will be closed. FDOT will start work on a new traffic signal so additional lanes can be added and widened along SR 200. The closure will be in effect from 7:30 p.m. Sunday until 7:30 a.m. on Monday. Detours will be available to help drivers get on I-75.

In Columbia County, FDOT will start repair work on an I-10 overpass at I-75. The bridge was damaged in a June crash when a heavy piece of machinery fell from a vehicle. Lane closures on I-10 will begin at 9:00 p.m. on Monday and end at 6:00 a.m. on Friday. Lanes will be reopened on Friday, July 19, to accommodate heavier weekend traffic, but the outside westbound lane will close again on Sunday, July 21, and will reopen again on Friday, July 26.

Additionally, I-75 northbound and southbound lanes will be temporarily closed during the week while repairs are made overhead to avoid potential damage to vehicles traveling under the bridge.
