Police response in Trenton left part of the city on lockdown Sunday morning.

Around 8:45 a.m., Gilchrist County Sheriff's Office and Trenton Public Safety Department responded to a call regarding a possible suicidal subject who had barricaded themselves inside their home.

According to a post made by Trenton Public Safety, it was discovered that the person in the home had an active felony warrant out of Alachua County.

After numerous attempts by law enforcement, family and friends to encourage the person to come out of the house, the person refused.

The Alachua County Sheriff's Office SWAT team was called. When they arrived, the suspect left through the back of the house and was taken into custody.

We will update this story as more information is released.
