Santa Claus stopped by Gainesville Pet Rescue

GAINESVILLE, Fla., (WCJB) -- Santa doesn't only grants wishes for kids, he also has a special place in his heart for pets.

Santa Claus stopped by Gainesville Pet Rescue to ask a couple of furry friends what they want for Christmas.

Pets and their owners lined up to take pictures with Kris Kringle, and leave donations for the pet rescue and the Alachua Humane Society.

And just like kids, some of the pets had a bit of a hard time sitting still.

To make sure no one was left out, some of the animals waiting to be adopted had a chance to sit on Santa's lap as well.
