A new concert hall is officially in the works for students at Santa Fe College; the school broke ground on the project Wednesday afternoon.

The new concert hall with replace the auditorium in the college's E-building.

It will seat over 150 people and have a new sound system that can be used for lectures and performances.

Jackson Sasser, the president of Santa Fe College, says he thinks "having this facility, which is designed almost identically to the fine arts hall...I think it will encourage more students to participate in the arts."

The new concert hall will cost a little over $4,000,000 to complete and should be open by the spring of 2020.
