Santa Fe College offers job workshops for ages 50+
Back To Work 50+ at Santa Fe College is starting workshops again to help people over 50 get back in the workforce.
The hope is to help older workers earn enough not to end up in poverty once they retire. The workshops will cover seven ways to improve your chances and give you the confidence to apply for a job. They help you work on resumes and improve interview and networking skills.
"It can be very isolating looking for work, and the program provides a sense of community and support, mutual support," Back To Work 50+ Project Coordinator Carolyn Das said.
The program also has limited scholarship money for those interested in taking courses at Santa Fe.
The first workshop is on August 1st from 2-4pm at Santa Fe College, followed by four more throughout the month.
