Santa Fe College is honoring its long time president by dedicating a building in his name.

The Board of Trustees announced Wednesday they will rename the fine arts hall building and center road after Dr. Jackson Sasser who is retiring.

An artist will also be commissioned to create a sculpture of Sasser.

The previous three college presidents all have structures named after them as well.

Sasser has been president since 2001. He will be replaced by Dr. Paul Broadie.
