GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB)-- Trying to find a job can be hard enough, but Santa Fe College hopes to make sure students are well prepared for the future.
The Santa Fe Career and Technical Education Showcase was held Thursday. The even matches students with professionals to learn about training needed to get into a variety of careers.
Among those there were representatives of the nursing, health sciences, welding, and business management fields.
"We have the opportunity to really work with students and get them ready for the workforce. You don't have to wait, you get in, you get the training and the quality preparation that you need for a career and then you get right out there and get a job," said program director Mable Baker.
Thursday's event marks the 6th year for the career fair.
