The massive sewage spill near Valdosta, Georgia has reached the Suwannee River.

In an email to Alachua County Commissioners, a representative of the Suwannee River Management District wrote the effects of the spill would have reached the Suwannee River Today.

Test results from the Withlacoochee River found e-coli levels had surpassed the safe level for human health.

More than 7,000,000 gallons of untreated waste water poured into the Withlacoochee in December.
