OCALA, Fla. (WCJB)- State leaders gathered in North Central Florida to listen to the concerns of Marion County residents and leaders.
Nearly a hundred residents attended the Marion County Legislative Delegation at the College of Central Florida in Ocala Tuesday afternoon.
Representative Clovis Watson, Representative Stan McClain, Senator Dennis Baxley, Representative Brett Hage, Senator Keith Perry, Senator Rob Bradley, and Representative Charlie Stone listened to issues facing Marion County.
"To have everybody here together to hear the concerns of this area, specifically this area. So we'll do another one, we have one in Alachua County coming up and one in Putnam County but today is for Marion County and the residents here, to be able to address us as a group."
At the meeting, Marion County Commissioner Michelle Stone focused on requesting a budget of more than 3.5 million dollars for the Southeastern Livestock Pavillon.
Stone also brought attention to the state-wide effort to protect and restore Florida's water resources.
Alachua County's Legislative Delegation is planned for September 23rd and Putnam County's will be held on 25th.
