Stop Children's Cancer Fundraiser
Stop Children's Cancer has been raising money for children with cancer for 37 years now.
Dr. Howard Freeman started the organization with his 10-year-old daughter after she was diagnosed with cancer.
Since her passing, Freeman says her spirit lives on with the charity and inspires them to help the community.
The charity has since raised more than seven million dollars for cancer research.
Stop Children's Cancer holds a bear-a-thon each year, where a person can purchase a bear or chemo duck for a child with cancer. Each bear is forty dollars. The bear-a-thon lasts until Saturday April 28th.
The bear-a-thon has raised eighty thousand dollars in 2018, and Freeman hopes they can raise twenty thousand more dollars by Saturday.
