High school student government leaders met with residents and city leaders to talk about public school issues in Alachua County.

Topics ranged from college and career readiness to decreasing behavioral problems in schools, as well as improving school's infrastructure.

Students say one of the best ways for the community to know what's going on in schools and what needs change, is by asking and listening at forums like this.

The forum was held by college students at Santa Fe and the University of Florida, who hope to set up more events like this in the future.

People who attended say the event was eye-opening and helpful to hear firsthand what schools need to work on.
