Students compete in Science and Engineering Fair at Santa Fe College

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB)-- Alachua County middle and high school students competed in a Science and Engineering Fair at Santa Fe College on Thursday.

Students competed in 13 categories including chemistry, microbiology, and plant sciences. Buchholz High School junior Helena Jiang enjoyed competing in the science fair as well as seeing the works of her peers.

“Being able to see my friends from other schools that I don't typically see and my friends from middle school so that's all really fun,” Jiang said. “Being able to see everyone else's projects. Everyone is amazing and they've done amazing things and I honestly can't wait to see what they do in the future."

Alachua County Public Schools will hold a ceremony at the Cade Museum on Monday at 6 p.m. to reveal who the winner is.
