Suspected killer in Walmart shooting dies

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) -- According to the Ocala Police Department, David Johnson was taken off life support and died at 6:13 p.m. on Monday.


A domestic dispute over the weekend left one woman dead and the suspected killer in the hospital.

The incident happened at the Walmart on Highway forty in Ocala, in the garden center.

TV20's Olana Osborn informed us that the incident on Saturday during the fight, the suspect pulled out his gun and shot 30 - year old Carli Cronin, leaving the woman dead on the scene.

The suspect 54-year-old David Johnson then left the Walmart and went back to their home just a few miles away and shot himself.

A spokesperson for the Ocala Police Department said the suspect is in
critical condition. David Johnson is on a ventilator and has no brain activity. Police don’t expect him to survive.
