GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB)-- The ongoing fight against human trafficking is picking up steam in North Central Florida.

The Suwannee River Area Health Education Center partnered with several organizations in Gainesville to provide human trafficking education and training to health care professionals.

The training helps people to identify victims of human trafficking and find resources that are available.

If you'd like to learn more about how you can help, contact organizations like the College of Nursing, Partnership for Strong Families, the Department of Children and Families, the Child Advocacy Center, and the local Coalition Against Human Trafficking in Alachua.
