The Alachua Supervisor Of Elections Is Helping Voters Prepare For The Primaries

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The Alachua County Supervisor of Elections wants to make sure people are prepared for the upcoming elections.

They're getting voters registered in time for the Presidential Preference Primaries and Gainesville City Elections on March 17th. The Presidential Preference Primaries is a "Closed Primary" and The Gainesville City Elections is non-partisan.

The Supervisor of Elections is traveling to local community events to help voters better understand the election process and update their voter registration.

The last day to register to vote or change your party affiliation for this election is on February 18th.

There are three options to vote including traveling to your polling precinct on March 17th, participating in Early Voting, or requesting a vote-by-mail ballot.

A big initiative for the Supervisor of Elections was traveling to meet with students at high schools across the county who preparing to vote for the first time to help them better understand the process.
