Three Pit bulls that attacked and killed a dog in September have been turned in

Three pit bulls that attacked and killed a dog in September have been turned in by their owner.

42-year old Nathanial Pettiford Junior had until 2:45 Thursday afternoon to turn in the dogs before he was ordered to by a court junction.

Pettiford has requested a hearing that will take place in the next five to twenty-one days. The dogs are being held by animal services.

If the dogs are deemed dangerous by the court, Pettiford will have to come up with a 500-thousand dollar insurance policy and the dogs will be sterilized and microchipped, before he can have them back.
