OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) --
Three candidates have made the deadline to qualify for the upcoming Ocala City Council election after the previous winner was found ineligible to take the seat.
Last year, Tyrone Oliver won a run-off election for the District Two seat but could not be seated due to his status as a felon.
Ire Bethea, Lonnie Hooks, and Reginald Landers have filed to run.
Bethea and Landers were on the original ballot and Bethea ran again in last year's run-off.
The special election will take place on March 17th.
