FHP: Two dead in three car collision in Marion County

MARION COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB) — A crash on County Road 484 in Marion County between three cars left two people dead on Wednesday night.

In a press release, Florida Highway Patrol says that 31-year-old Jason O'Scott was traveling east on CR-484 near Marion Oak Manor when he hit the back of another car. After the first crash, the second car crossed over into the westbound lane of CR-484 where a westbound car crashed into the second car.

In the second car, 81-year-old Reina Suarez De Yepez was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. In the third car, 29-year-old Stephanie Arias was pronounced dead at the scene and a 4-year-old was taken to UF Health Shands with critical injuries.

The crash is still under investigation by FHP.
