Traffic on I-75 slows to a crawl after accidents near Alachua and High Springs

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB) – Traffic delays slowed down drivers on I-75 Wednesday due to multiple crashes.

Timothy Clubb, 44, driving a semi-truck and Wayland Manning, 58, driving a pick-up, got into an argument while heading north on I-75, state troopers said.

The drivers sideswiped each other spinning both off the road on mile marker 396 just north of Alachua around 1 p.m.

The semi overturned and became wedged in trees, which blocked traffic for hours, state troopers sai.d

Both drivers are expected to be O.K.

Less than 10 miles north on I-75, High Springs police and fire departments were called out to a crash around 10 a.m.

A car driving on the southbound on-ramp rolled over at the High Springs exit.

The driver was taken to a hospital..
