BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB)--
The U.S. Coast Guard has announced they are suspending the active search for two overdue boaters at sundown. The two went missing from Port Canaveral on Friday and still have not been located.
In a press conference at Noon, a Coast Guard spokesperson said that they have reached the point in the search where their computer modelling and their 'on the ground' resources have exhausted all reasonable options for finding the missing pair.
Two men in Brevard County left for a fishing trip, but now the Coast Guard is searching for them after they haven't come home.
The two boaters went missing from Port Canaveral on Friday and still have not been located.
Brian Mccluney and Justin Walker were last seen leaving the 300 Christopher Columbus boat ramp on a 24 center console boat.
Officials said they were heading toward a nearby reef. The search for the two boaters has now covered 20 thousand square miles in 70 hours of searching.
