At least two corrections officers at Lowell Correctional Institute in Marion County have been reassigned after a report of a "use of force" incident at the prison that has left a prisoner injured.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement or FDLE is investigating with the assistance of the Department of Correction's Office of Inspector General.
They say the officers involved have been reassigned to posts that do not have contact with inmates until the investigation is over.
