GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) --

The University of Florida is releasing new guidelines for students who may have come in contact with the coronavirus.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or CDC is requiring all travelers returning from China to undergo quarantine, and any University of Florida student subject to a quarantine must be isolated for 2 weeks before coming back to campus.

Students living in dorms with shared facilities will be relocated to self-contained apartments. Students who live off-campus must self-quarantine in their off-campus residences.

After the two weeks, students must contact UF Student Health Care at (352) 392-1161 to schedule an appointment to be cleared to return to class.

Any student who is required to quarantine or self-quarantine is encouraged to reach out to their faculty members regarding any classwork missed during the quarantine period.
