UF's First African-American graduate dies

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -- The University of Florida Law graduate W. Geroge Allen has died.

Allen made history as the first African-American to graduate from the University. He was a member of the 1962 UF Law Class.

The UF Levin College of Law said in a statement " He leaves behind an incredible, courageous legacy. "We are forever indebted to George, and we will work each day to honor and preserve his memory."
