COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB)-- Good news on a story TV20 has been following for a few months regarding the corrections officer Demarcus Graham who was donated a kidney. He has been released from the hospital and is now continuing his recovery at home.
In November of 2018, we first brought you the story of Columbia County corrections officer Demarcus Graham who was working 6 days a week at the county jail while going through treatments for end-stage renal failure.
In December, we sat down with Demarcus and a then stranger, Sara Podbinski, who decided to donate one of her kidneys to him.
Now nearly a month later after surgery and recovery, Demarcus was able to come home this weekend, escorted by his coworkers.
