United Way of NCFL celebrates more than four million dollars in prescription savings

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB)-- A non-profit in North Central Florida is celebrating a big milestone.

United Way of North Central Florida has announced due to their partnership with Familywize, they've helped nearly 44-thousand people save more than four million dollars in prescription savings.

The purpose of the card is to keep people from having to make the choice between food, medication, or other living expenses.

The Familywize savings card is free and has no limit on uses. You can use it whether you have insurance or not and it lowers the cost of prescription medications by an average of 45-percent.
