Salvation Army is looking for Holiday Bell Ringers
Dates: November 16th-December 24th
Hours: Monday through Saturday from 11:00AM-7: 00 PM
Duties: Holiday Bell Ringers will greet the public in a
courteous and friendly manner and, ensure that the kettle is
never left unattended.
All the money raised through the Kettle Campaign is to support local services. There is no national fundraising in The Salvation Army. Therefore, funds raised in our community are dedicated to best serve the people in our community who are recovering from many kinds of personal disasters.
Salvation Army needs Toy Center Sorters
Dates: December 10th-December 14th
Duties: Toy Center Sorter will help sort gifts and clothes and prepare Holiday food baskets for the children and families in our Angel Tree program.
Every year thanks to the generosity of local businesses and community members The Salvation Army receives toys and new clothes. Therefore, the Toy Center needs volunteers to sort the Angel Tree Program donations.
GRACE Marketplace is always looking for volunteers to serve a meal, especially on Thanksgiving and Christmas. We've added on the right side tab the link to the volunteer form.
Breakfast: 7AM – 8AM
Lunch: 11:30AM – 12:30PM
Dinner: 5:30PM – 6:30PM

Coat Drive (Now- December 12th)
GRACE is looking for donations of comforters, blankets, scarves, hats, hand warmers, and gloves of all sizes.
St. Francis House is looking for volunteers for the Thanksgiving Day Gainesville Give thanks 5K Run/Walk
on November 22nd at 8:30 AM
They are also, always looking for volunteers to help with their Furnish a Room for Children. The volunteer form website is on the right side tab.
Gainesville DPC Physicians is collecting food for donation to Gainesville Community Ministries now through Christmas. Drop off is available Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm at 13577 NW 2nd Lane, Suite 20, Newberry Florida 32669
Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center Winter Coat Drive
The community is collecting new and gently used coats, gloves, scarves, hats, and sweaters for all ages.
The donations are being taken now until November 31st.
Distribution will be December 1st at 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Drop off locations: Newberry City Hall, Easton Sports Complex, and MLK Community Center.
Ronald McDonald House Charities is always looking for volunteers. Their activities include serving as a weekly volunteer, organize a group service project, cook a meal for the families, bake sweets and treats, hosting a special family activity, and more. Bring Home the Harvest event by Marion County
Now until Friday, December 7, 2018, at 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
canned food and toiletry donations are being collected
- Dry foods and complementary goods (rice, pasta, pasta sauce, cereal, crackers, peanut butter, and jelly). Plastic containers preferred.
- Canned meats (corned beef, corned beef hash, ham, and tuna).
- Canned vegetables and fruit.
- Baby items (baby cereal, diapers, and lotion).
- Toiletries (soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and toilet paper).
They can be dropped off at the public libraries, city, and county fire stations, Sheriff’s Office district offices, tax collector offices, Solid Waste recycling centers, Ocala Police Department, Supervisor of Elections, Ocala City Hall, Marion County Administration and the Ocala/Marion County Chamber and Economic Partnership
