Florida RB Jordan Scarlett to forgo senior season

Florida runningback Jordan Scarlett became the fifth member of the Gator junior class to declare his NFL draft eligibility on Wednesday, joining teammates Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Jawaan Taylor, Jachai Polite, and Vosean Joseph.

After being suspended for the 2017 season, Scarlett broke through in his junior campaign, averaging 5.9 yards per carry with 776 yards rushing and five touchdowns. He also has the ability to make defenders miss in the passing game, totaling 10 receptions for 84 yards.

Scarlett's best performance in 2018 helped save Florida's season. Against South Carolina, he rushed rushed 18 times for 159 yards as the Gators rallied from down 17 points in the third quarter to win.
