Gators land commitments from Pouncey brothers

The Pouncey brothers have announced that they will be committing to the Gator football program. Former Texas wide receiver Jordan and winter park high school senior Ethan Pouncey, who are cousins of the Pouncey's you're thinking about, Mike and Maurkice, came to visit UF this weekend for the FSU game and have decided that they'll be a package deal.

Four star cornerback Ethan, was committed to Texas but then backed out. He's the 10th ranked cornerback in the 2020 class.

The older one, Jordan redshirted in 2017, and in 2018 he played in 7 games, this season he played in five games before he entered the transfer portal in the middle of the season. In his three seasons at Texas he caught two receptions for 19 yards. He also played on special teams.

Florida's had success recently with transfers getting the starting job with redshirt senior Van Jefferson and junior Trevon Grimes.

Jordan could bring experience from playing at a high level and he comes at a good time too as Florida will lose key senior wideouts, Josh hammond, Freddie swain, Van Jefferson, and Tyrie Cleveland.
