Fort Myers Williston and Chiefland will both represent Levy County in Thursday's Class 1A baseball state title game in Fort Myers after both schools took down their respective semifinal opponents.

Williston was held without a hit into the sixth inning versus Sneads but pieced together four runs on three hits in a 4-2 semifinal victory. Connor Neal, Logan Head, and C.J. Strange all came through with RBI hits in the sixth. The Red Devils also benefitted from five Pirate errors in the game and will seek a state title to go along with the consecutive state crowns they earned in 2014 and 2015.

Against Bozeman, the Indians broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the third inning on a two-run bloop single by Luke Reidy. Chiefland added to its lead in the fifth on RBI hits by Keegan McLelland and Will Sumner. The Indians pulled away for the 7-2 win, aided by two line-drive double plays to end the fourth and sixth innings.

Chiefland advances to the title contest with an overall record of 14-10 while Williston enters at 20-9. Thursday's state title game will be held at 4:00pm.
