Job Summary:
WCJB TV20, The Gainesville CW, and MeTV have an immediate opening for a full-time Sales Assistant in our Gainesville, FL office. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. This position assists Account Executives and Sale Managers. We promote from within so if you want to learn from the ground up and eventually have a very rewarding career in media sales, then what better place than the #1 TV station in North Central Florida. This is a very unique and special opportunity to break into media sales without media experience, so we’re looking for a special person to join our team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Order entry and report generation
• Speaking with customers
• Assist with creating presentations
• Research
• Working with various departments
• Attending occasional events and client visits
Required skills and experience:
• Experience in a PC based environment using Microsoft products – Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Media experience not required
• Detail oriented with an ability to multi-task
• Must be personable and enthusiastic
• Good organizational skills
• A track record of exceptional customer service
• Good follow up skills
• You don’t take yourself too seriously but you’re serious about your work
• You have integrity and do business the right way
