Texas Roadhouse employee threatens boss with scissors after being fired
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A former restaurant employee was arrested after Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies say she threatened her boss with scissors on Tuesday.
According to the arrest report for La’Ricca Shahid, 32, deputies were called out to the Texas Roadhouse on Southwest 43rd Street, near Celebration Pointe, on Tuesday night.
The owner told deputies that a manager caught Shahid drinking on the job. The owner fired her, and she reportedly became upset.
She said she had nothing left to live for and grabbed a nearby hammer. A manager was able to wrestle the hammer away from her. She then told the owner she was going to kill him and left the building.
A few minutes later, Shahid returned through the front of the restaurant. She grabbed a pair of scissors and approached the owner.
