Construction on Streatery in Gainesville progressing

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - We’re getting a new look at the work to build a new outdoor eating space in Gainesville.
The Streatery will be a pedestrian-only area on Southwest First Avenue from 2nd Street to Main Street.
Crews are moving dirt around after removing all the bricks that used to pave the street. Construction began in April.

A construction fence currently blocks off the street.
Adjacent businesses are open and accessible via the sidewalk.
