GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A former laboratory beagle is living a new life in Gainesville after spending nearly seven years in a research facility.

The dog, now named Peach, was previously known as CTU9 before arriving in North Central Florida. Her owners said she arrived with several medical issues but is now learning what it means to be a family dog.

“The amount of support that we’ve gotten for Peach because of Peach and how just amazing she is, it restores my faith in humanity, there’s so many good people out there,” Kim-Anne Dodd, Peach’s owner, said.
