Lake City Police collect 155 pounds of medication for National Prescription Drug Take Back day event

LAKE CITY, Fla. (WCJB) - Law enforcement agencies around North Central Florida are counting how much unused medication they collected on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Lake City Police released their results from the collection event over the weekend.

On Saturday, police said they collected 155 pounds of unwanted medication for safe disposal, working with staffers at HCA Florida Lake City Hospital.

Multiple agencies in our area had their own collection drives.
