GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Florida leaders want to give drivers some relief at the gas pump.
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services issued an emergency order allowing the sale of winter-grade gasoline during the summer months for 90 days. That starts on May 1.

Winter-grade gas is less expensive to produce and its hoped prices will come down.
Normally, the summer blend is required because it’s less likely to evaporate in heat, which helps reduce smog and air pollution.
