Two men indicted for murder of 16-year-old girl at Gainesville graduation party, prosecutors say
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A grand jury in Alachua County indicted two men on murder charges in connection with the death of a 16-year-old girl in Gainesville in 2022.
The grand jury indicted both Geremy Navarro and Nathaniel Kendrick on the charge of first-degree murder. They were arrested in November 2024.
Prosecutors say on June 5, 2022, Zhane Sanders, 16, was attending a high school graduation party at Palms of Archer on Southwest Archer Road. The suspects are accused of opening fire and shooting Sanders, an innocent bystander.
In an unrelated case, Geremy Navarro is already serving a life sentence after being convicted of killing Ferron Marquise Williams in Ocala in January 2022.
