GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - David Jolly, the Democratic candidate in the Florida governor’s race, spoke at the Gainesville Women’s Club on Wednesday as part of his “Get Out the Vote” tour.

Taylor Murphy, vice chair of the Alachua County Democratic Executive Committee, named two of her main priorities in a candidate.

“I think in Florida, definitely affordability is a top thing,” Murphy said. “Here in Gainesville, home rule, especially with the GRU referendum, passing twice with over 70 percent and then getting taken away by the state legislature.”

Republican candidate Byron Donalds campaigned at the University of Florida at the end of last month.
